Maps and scouting reports of Club property.
SUMMARY:
One of the best features of North America Outdoors and the Hunt Fish Camp Network is its state-of-the-art reservation system. Every club member gets a User ID and password to log on to the system, which can be done from any computer, laptop, or moblie device with an internet connection. Once logged in, members can view all information associated with every HFCN property: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The system displays satellite maps, GPS coordinates, topographical maps, property availability, and harvest (scouting) reports for each property.
All of this detailed information not only helps members find the property and stay within its boundaries, but it also provides a great scouting tool. Members can select properties based on the historical game sightings by previous hunters found on the harvest reports. Hunting spots on the property can be pre-determined by studying the terrain from the system maps. These great tools give you a wealth of valuable information saving you time and effort before you step foot on the property. This information also makes it much easier for an out-of-state hunting trip.
Reservations are made fairly on a first come, first served basis. Reservations may be made weeks in advance or at the last minute. The system ensures that the property you reserve is for you only. When you make a reservation you get exclusive rights to that property for the duration of your stay. This is the safest and most enjoyable way to spend a day in the field with family and friends. Chances are that with the lack of hunting pressure, you'll also see more game.
MAPS:
When you join North America Outdoors you receive map books for every property NAO leases.
For each property members are provided:
- Directional Map — shows the geographic location and directions to property from major city along with any special provisions, notes or stipulations for the property
- Aerial Photo — shows property boundaries, gps positions, and miscellaneous land features
- Topographical Map — shows the terrain of the property
- GPS Coordinates — charts the coordinates of positions found on the Aerial Photo
All of the above items are also found conveniently in the Reservation System for all properties leased by all HFCN clubs across the country.
HARVEST REPORTS:
"Harvest Reports" are submitted by all members within 48 hours of their trip to each property whether a harvest is made or not. The report gives detailed information of all game that has been seen and/or harvested on all properties for the last two years.
For each day a property is visited, members are able to view the farm number, county, state, number in party, game hunted, number and species of all wildlife seen, number and species of wildlife harvested, and any notes/opinions by the member.
This tool in combination with the maps of the property, provide our members detailed scouting information without the need to visit the property. Our members are always welcome to reserve properties for scouting in person, of course. However, for the fast-paced world we live in today, this tool provides the best efficiency in getting great scouting information in a matter of seconds.
